art

I love ink and everything BLACK and WHITE.

Drawing and visual design has always been there for me. My number one rule is to never leave the house without a sketch book.

music

I make beeps and boops, too.

All composed with software such as Studio One and FL Studio.

Music occupies a significant chunk of my life, be it working as a drummer for local theaters and schools, producing songs, or playing in several personal bands.

Stories can be found in anything, and I want my music to be no exception. I love to weave narrative and emotion into each piece.

The Lovewalls was a personal band made with high school friends. Here's two songs we produced.

Our proudest achievements were winning our school's battle of the bands then being banned from playing because our vocalist shaved his head on stage. ROCK ON.

SPOOKY SOUP

"Spooky Soup," a full 14-part piece I wrote for my high school jazz band.

My jazz band director suggested I write a song, so I did. After months of writing and rehearsing, we played it for my entire school at the end of the year.

This is one of my proudest moments -- seeing a full standing ovation for something I wrote.

video

Given a weekend to film a video in French to demonstrate new vocublary, a short 2-minute clip turned into an almost 9-minute arc of Russian espionage, old grudges, and talking pinnaples.

This one defys explaination.

The weirder, the better. That's how I like 'em.

I taught myself the entire Adobe Creative Suite over years of experiments, trial and error, and far too many late nights.

Every project is a learning experience.

Not knowing how to do something is merely an opportunity to surprise yourself.

All mistakes are wonderful. I proudly display mine to the world.

games

Given two weeks for an open-ended final project in a Contemporary Literature class, I poured my heart and soul into a 15-minute game about a character finding themselves lost with strange characters in the woods. Plenty of inside jokes amongst the class were sprinkled in as well.

Just over 100 hours of work was put into hand-crafting all the art, music, and programming.

By the end of the project, I was making the game not just for the class, but for myself.
